I am concerned for today's young generation," says Saheefa Jabbar Khattak, offering a solution for coping with depression.

Karachi: Model and actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak has expressed her concerns regarding the rising prevalence of depression in today's youth, emphasizing the need to reduce the use of social media.
Saheefa Jabbar Khattak recently participated in a program where she was asked about dealing with depression, and she recommended reducing the use of social media as a way to overcome it.
She highlighted that in the past, her parents were less aware of depression because there were fewer cases during their time. However, the situation has drastically changed.
Saheefa said, "Today, it seems like every other young person is struggling with depression, especially in Western countries, where basic amenities have been fulfilled, and people, when they think ahead, fall into depression. In contrast, in Pakistan, everyone is busy trying to meet basic necessities, and they are not progressing."
Furthermore, Saheefa discussed how depression can be exacerbated by the constant exposure to other people's lives on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
She also mentioned that people are receiving incorrect or incomplete information through social media, among other contributing factors.
Saheefa Jabbar Khattak expressed her concern, stating, "I am concerned for today's young generation because everyone appears to be battling depression."
She went on to share her personal experience on her Instagram story, revealing that people from the showbiz industry, as well as her fans, have acknowledged experiencing depression.
According to Saheefa, no one claimed to be completely content in their lives, with many admitting to feeling sad or struggling with depression.
