Before the match, teams of Pakistan and India did a lot of practice to remove their shortcomings. The national team announced the final 11 for Pakistan-India match.
Till yesterday it was predicted that today rain will take place during the Pakistan India match in Palikale. However now according to the latest update, the weather in Kandy has improved after which the chances of rain have reduced.

The traditional rivals have faced each other 17 times in the Asia Cup tournaments. India was successful in 09 matches and Pakistan won 06 matches while 02 matches remained inconclusive.
Last year's Asia Cup was held in T20 format in which Pakistan and India faced each other twice. India won the group stage and Pakistan defeated India in the Super Four stage.
According to the record of one-day matches between Pakistan and India, the national team has an advantage over India. 132 one-day matches have been played between Pakistan and India, out of which the green shirts won 73 matches while India won 55 matches. And four matches have been inconclusive.
