The trade deficit of Pakistan was recorded at 1.637 billion dollars in July and $3.571 billion in August last year.


Islamabad: In the first two months of current financial year, the trade deficit of the country has been recorded to decrease by 40% on annual basis.
According to data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, in the first two months of current fiscal year, the trade deficit of Pakistan was recorded at 3.763 billion dollars, which is 40% less than the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The report issued told that trade deficit of the country was recorded at 6.302 billion dollars in the same period of the last financial year. In August, the country's trade deficit was recorded at $2.126 billion, which is 30% more than July and 40% less than last year's August.

According to the statistics, in the first two months of the current financial year, the volume of domestic exports was recorded at 4.431 billion dollars, which is 6% less than the same period of the previous financial year.
In the same period of last year, the volume of domestic exports was recorded at $4.733 billion. In August, the volume of domestic exports was recorded at 2.363 billion dollars, which was 2.068 billion dollars in July and $2.483 billion in August last year.
The statistics show that in the first two months of current fiscal year, a decrease of 26% was recorded in domestic imports on an annual basis.
In the first two months of the current fiscal year, the volume of domestic imports was recorded at 8.194 billion dollars, which was $11.035 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The volume of domestic exports was $4.489 billion in August which was 3.705 billion dollars in July and 6.054 billion dollars in August last year.
