Four persons were killed when the car they were travelling in fell into Neelum River in Choon area of Naseerabad in Muzaffarabad.


Muzaffarabad: Four persons were killed when the car they were travelling in fell into Neelum River in Choon area of Naseerabad in Muzaffarabad late Saturday night.
According to the police, the local volunteers, officers, and rescue workers retrieved the dead out of the river.
They added that the car's off-roading was caused by rain. The incident was unknown at the time because it was dark, according to the Force, who added that it was only discovered the next morning when passersby noticed the automobile floating in the river.
They stated that all of the deceased were residents of the Jhaing village.
Neelum River frequently experiences accidents. On May 1, 2023, in Neelum Valley, a jeep accident resulted in up to 10 tourists drowning as it veered off the road and into a river.
The disaster happened in the Phalawi village in the Upper Wadi district of Sharda Tehsil.
The police reported that there were 14 passengers in the jeep, including 12 tourists. Four injured people had already been transported to a hospital for medical attention.
