Removal of name from blacklist: Fawad says Shehbaz’s counsels did not submit any application to DG FIA
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhry has said that the counsels of Shehbaz Sharif have not submitted any application to Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (DG FIA) for removal of their client’s name from blacklist.

Taking to twitter, Fawad wrote that it is the prerogative of DG FIA to put or remove a name from blacklist.
“Records are not changed by verbal orders only. We will approach court against the decision,” he said.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif could not depart for Doha as he was barred from leaving the country by immigration officers of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to details, Shehbaz Sharif was offloaded from a Qatar-bound flight at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore earlier today due to his name still being on the agency’s blacklist.
The PML-N leader was issued a boarding pass but was barred from boarding the plane after immigration officers cited system update issues.
Shehbaz Sharif was scheduled to leave for Doha from Lahore, where he was expected to stay for two to three days. From Doha, the PML-N leader was scheduled to leave for London for medical treatment.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday allowed Shehbaz Sharif to fly abroad on for medical treatment.
