Lahore: The provincial government of Punjab has declared a public holiday in Lahore on September 7 in observance of the annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint, Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh Syed Ali Hajveri (RA).
During his visit to Data Darbar last night, the vigilant Chief Minister announced that the three-day Urs ceremony would commence on Tuesday, and elaborate arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth conduct of the events.
The Chief Minister further added that the festivities would continue for three days, and meticulous preparations are underway to make this occasion a success.
