She called a meeting of the district's police officers and her subordinate officers as soon as she assumed charge.

Quetta: A female police officer took command as the senior superintendent of police (SSP) in the Jaffarabad district of the province for the first time in Balochistan's history.
Faryal Fareed, a native of Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), was selected on September 1 to serve as the SSP for Jaffarabad.
The police team present at the Jaffarabad district police office greeted SSP Faryal with flowers and salutes.
She called a meeting of the district's police officers and her subordinate officers as soon as she assumed charge.
Furthermore, the district where the lady SSP has been deputed is a bordering area of the province and maintaining law and order on the National Highway has always been a challenge.
It should be noted that SSP Faryal was the first female police officer to get the "Sword of Honour" in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP)'s history.
She received the award in 2018 while working as an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) for putting in the best overall effort while undergoing training at the National Police Academy.
Her husband, Dr Sami Malik, is also affiliated with the police force and was deputed as Naseerabad SSP with Faryal's deputation as the Jaffarabad SSP.
