Governor House hosts dinner in honor of BCCI delegation

Lahore: A dinner was organized at Governor House Lahore on Monday night in honor of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) delegation.
According to details, Governor Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Zaka Ashraf, players from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh also participated in the dinner.
BCCI President Roger Bani, Vice President Rajeev Shukla, Director BCCI Yudhweer Singh and Secretary to Vice President Muhammad Akram especially participated in the ceremony held at Governor House Lahore.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Shukla said that he has been to Lahore many times. The hospitality and love of people here amazes you, cricket brings people closer.
On the other hand, Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf stated in his speech at the dinner held at the Governor House: “Cricket is a game of love, it spreads love in countries that play cricket, we saw that after India-Pakistan match in Kandy, Pakistan and the Indian players met like brothers”.
Pakistan all-rounders Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi and Imam-ul-Haq met Rajeev Shukla in a pleasant manner during the event.
It is pertinent to note that earlier on Monday, a four-member delegation of Indian Cricket Board reached Pakistan to watch the Asia Cup matches.
The delegation of Indian board that arrived in Pakistan includes Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Roger Bani, Vice President Rajeev Shukla, Director BCCI and Secretary to Vice President Muhammad Akram.
The delegation of the Indian Cricket Board has come to Pakistan on a two-day visit. They will also watch the Asia Cup matches on September 05 and 06.
Asia Cup will be played from August 31 to September 17. During the series, nine matches of the event will be held in Sri Lanka while four in Pakistan.
The Super four playoff matches will be held from September 06 to 15, while the final of the tournament will be played on September 17 in Colombo.
