Sugar price continues to increase, settles at Rs230 per kg
It is also reported that in the outskirts of the city, sugar is being sold up to Rs230 per kg.
Lahore: Sugar prices continue to fluctuate in different cities of the country.
According to details, the price of per kg sugar in Quetta has increased by Rs5, after which the price of sugar per kg has increased from Rs220 to settle at Rs225.
It is also reported that in the outskirts of the city, sugar is being sold up to Rs230 per kg. The price of commodity has increased by Rs45 per kg in last five days.
On the other hand, in the wholesale market in Karachi, the price of sugar has fell by Rs1 to settle at Rs174 per kg, while at the retail level sugar is being sold from Rs185 to Rs200 per kg.
All the dealers of Akbari Mandi have lost their records due to which the wholesale rate is being issued over the phone for two days.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, sugar is being sold at Rs200 per kg in retail. The sugar price per kg in the wholesale market is Rs181 and the price of a 50 kg sack of sugar in wholesale is Rs9,500.
