US ambassador calls on CPO
US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom met the Central Police Office Dr Usman Anwar (CPO).
Lahore: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom met the Central Police Office Dr Usman Anwar (CPO) on Tuesday.
The American ambassador and a delegation met at the CPO office on the occasion of the ambassador's visit, according to a spokesperson for Punjab Police.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. The delegation included American Consul General Kristen Hawkins, Security Attaché Mike Diamond and Security Advisor Safdar Ali Rao.
According to the police spokesperson, it was the first time an American ambassador has visited the CPO.
The Punjab Police and the United States would continue to cooperate on bilateral security issues, it was decided during the meeting.
The American envoy applauded Punjab police for their sacrifices, contributions, and successes in the fight against terrorism and religious extremism.
The official said that in order to avoid terrorism and extremism, it was decided to strengthen collaboration between the Punjab police and American security organizations.
Additionally, the installation of satellite forensic lab units at divisional police headquarters was discussed by the US ambassador and IG Punjab.
