Folk singer Arif Lohar’s wife breathes her last in Lahore, confirms family
Lahore: Acclaimed Pakistani folk singer Arif Lohar’s wife breathed her last in Lahore on Sunday, her family confirmed.

According to details, the musician’s wife was undergoing treatment first at CMH Hospital in Lahore, who was admitted to the hospital a few days ago due to high fever.
Later, she was shifted to Farooq Hospital and was on a ventilator but did not recover from the deteriorating symptoms.
Her funeral prayers were offered at 10am on Sunday (today).
Arif Lohar is a Punjabi folk singer and usually sings with a musical instrument resembling tongs and his music represents the traditional folk heritage of Punjab.
The acclaimed singer is the son of the renowned folk singer Alam Lohar.
In 2010, the singer participated in Coke Studio Season 3, performed Alif Allah also know known as ‘Jugni’ with Meesha Shafi and the collaboration became an international success.
Moreover, filmmaker Saif Ali Khan bought the rights to Jugni to feature in Bollywood film ‘Cocktail’.
Earlier in 2013, the artist also sang in the Bollywood film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
Lohar has also sung in multiple Punjabi Films in Pakistan and India.
