Moin Khan stressed the importance of Pakistan's upcoming match against Sri Lanka, highlighting the need for a convincing win to keep their Asia Cup hopes alive.

Karachi: Former Pakistani Test cricketer Moin Khan has expressed his concerns over the national cricket team's dismal performance against India in the Asia Cup Super Four stage.
He emphasized that Pakistan must secure a convincing victory against Sri Lanka, or else they risk elimination from the tournament.
Speaking on the Sports program, Moin Khan highlighted several critical aspects of Pakistan's performance against India.
Despite winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bowl first, a decision that Khan deemed as a mistake made by captain Babar Azam.
Khan explained that India's ordinary bowlers had become a significant threat to Pakistan due to their continuous development, and Pakistan's team seemed to believe that rain would intervene, allowing both teams to earn a point each.
However, Moin Khan stressed that Pakistan should not be complacent and must aim for a comprehensive victory against Sri Lanka.
The former cricketer also suggested a change in Pakistan's opening partnership, proposing Abdullah Shafique as an alternative to Imam-ul-Haq or Fakhar Zaman.
During the program, former Test cricketer Sikander Bakht raised concerns about the lack of control over the national cricket team's decision-making, highlighting that a group of three to four players wields significant influence while the PCB struggles to maintain its authority.
Bakht further pointed out that Pakistan's weaknesses in batting, bowling, and fielding were thoroughly exposed by India.
He emphasized that India had outperformed Pakistan in every aspect of the game, particularly in fast and spin bowling.
