Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Sunil Shetty's tweet praising son-in-law KL Rahul's performance against Pakistan in the Asia Cup went viral.
KL Rahul played an unbeaten innings of 111 runs off 106 balls against Pakistan in the India-Pakistan match that lasted for two days due to rain in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup.
Later, India defeated Pakistan by a huge margin of 228 runs on Monday due to the brilliant performance of the bowlers.
In response to India's 356 runs, Pakistan's national team could score only 128 runs in 32 overs.
India's win against Pakistan is considered the biggest success of India in ODI cricket.
KL Rahul recently joined the team after an injury, he was out of the team for a long time.
His father-in-law Sunil Shetty released a message for him on his century against Pakistan.
Sunil Shetty described Rahul's performance as outstanding and wrote 'It's a triumphant comeback, thank God for empowering all the efforts, with little to thank for'.
On the other hand, actress Athiya Shetty, wife of Rahul and daughter of Sunil Shetty, also released a message for her husband on Instagram.
She wrote 'Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise, You are everything, I love you'.
On the other hand, the participation of Salman Agha in the match against Sri Lanka is doubtful.
