Karachi: Pakistani actor Areez Ahmed recently shared a sneak peek of his upcoming drama on Instagram, where he takes on the role of a 'Khawaj Sara' (transgender).

Images of Areez Ahmed's character have gone viral on social media, accompanied by his reflections on the challenges he faced while portraying this role.

The drama featuring Areez Ahmed will be broadcast on a private TV channel, and the teaser, shared by the actor, hints at a storyline centered around the struggles encountered by transgender individuals in their lives.

Notably, actors Hamad Farooqui and Ali Rizvi will also portray transgender characters alongside Areez Ahmed in this compelling drama.

In a heartfelt caption accompanying his post, Areez Ahmed shared, "As an actor, I assumed the role of a 'Khawaj Sara' for just two days, and it opened my eyes to the immense challenges these individuals endure and how society perceives them."

Areez Ahmed candidly expressed that he noticed people's apprehension during the shoot, realizing that the stigma and anxiety surrounding transgender individuals were palpable.

In his revelation, he acknowledged that merely two days of filming shed light on the lifelong struggles faced by transgender people.

Areez Ahmed also clarified that 'hejde' or 'transgender' individuals should not be mislabeled as 'transgenders,' underlining the importance of respectful terminology.
