Islamabad: During the hearing of Gun and Country Club case in Supreme Court, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial Wednesday made interesting remarks.
According to details, the Gun and Country Club case was heard by a three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, but the hearing was adjourned without taking any action at the request of lawyers of the parties.
During the hearing of the case, Chief Justice remarked that if rest of the lawyers were not informed, we say you good to see you.
Justice Umar Atta Bandial further said: “This case was very interesting, now it will be heard by a new bench, it is not necessary that what a person wants will be fulfilled, hopefully the next bench will enjoy this case”.
It is pertinent to note that earlier in November 2022, Supreme Court had ordered an immediate audit of the Gun and Country Club Islamabad. While in the previous regime, the Public Accounts Committee reviewed the audit paragraphs of Ministry of Housing and Works and the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and the Gun and Country Club Islamabad seizing the records.
