Pakistan's national team made five changes to its squad for the crucial match.

Colombo: The highly anticipated Asia Cup ODI semifinal between Pakistan and Sri Lanka faced an unexpected delay today as heavy rain hit Colombo.
Both teams had arrived at the stadium, with the toss scheduled for 2:00 PM Pakistani time and the match set to commence at 2:30 PM.
Unfortunately, unfavorable weather conditions have dampened the spirits of cricket fans.
Ground staff quickly covered the pitch to protect it from the rain.
Intermittent showers are expected to persist throughout the day, raising concerns about the match's feasibility.
Last night, Pakistan made five changes to its team lineup for the crucial match.
Mohammad Haris, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr., and Zaman Khan were included in the national team for the Sri Lanka encounter, while Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf were rested.
The playing XI for Pakistan consists of captain Babar Azam, vice-captain Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Haris, Saud Shakeel, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Wasim Jr., and Zaman Khan.
In the event of continued rain and an inability to play the match, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will each receive one point, resulting in a total of three points for each team.
Sri Lanka is expected to advance to the final based on a superior run rate.
