Raja Pervez Ashraf says the doors of dialogue and negotiations are never closed in democracy.


Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday said that strengthening democracy and promotion of democratic values is the need of the hour.
In his message on the occasion of International Day of Democracy, he said the doors of dialogue and negotiations are never closed in democracy.
The Speaker said the political leadership will have to promote democratic traditions by practicing democracy.
He said Parliament is the real image of democracy and by flourishing democracy, the country can be put on the path of development and prosperity.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said the leadership of Pakistan People's Party has stained democracy with its blood as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed their lives in the struggle for democracy.
