IG Islamabad did not appear in Lahore High Court despite the arrest warrant.


Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Akbar Nasir Khan.
According to details, IG Islamabad's non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued by the Lahore High Court in the contempt of court case for the arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi despite the release order.
IG Islamabad did not appear in Lahore High Court despite the arrest warrant.
The Lahore High Court has ordered the concerned Superintendent of Police (SP) to be arrested and produced before the IG Islamabad.
It is pertinent to note that in the previous hearing, the court issued a warrant to the IG Police Islamabad for not appearing and ordered him to appear today.
