Both sides discuss about the matters of bilateral relations, economic cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest.


Islamabad: Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins called on Caretaker Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs Dr. Shamshad Akhtar in Islamabad on Monday.
During meeting, they discussed about the matters of bilateral relations, economic cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest.
Earlier, Pakistan and Turkmenistan expressed resolve to further strengthen ties in various fields particularly cultural heritage.
The resolve was made between Interim Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.
During meeting, they discussed mutual interest issues particularly cultural relations between two countries.
The Minister for National Heritage and Culture emphasized the potential for collaboration in various artistic domains to further enhance the strong people-to-people bonds.
Jamal Shah also proposed that Pakistan and Turkmenistan should initiate co- film production as film is very effective means for promotion of art and culture.
The minister also said that Central Asian States would be specially invited to be part of second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Cultural Caravan.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan and Minister agreed to enhance cooperation in cultural exchanges and to continue discussions on issues of mutual interest.
