Lahore- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari once again on Monday urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to promptly announce the date for the upcoming elections. He reiterated this demand during a press conference held in Okara.

During the conference, Bilawal also commented on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), taking a dig at them for including former National Assembly opposition leader Raja Riaz in their party.

In response to a question, Bilawal emphasized his own position as a young leader with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the youth. He stressed the importance of the youth taking control of their own future.

Bilawal noted that the PPP has long advocated for the return of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif. He emphasized that the PPP could not be sidelined under any circumstances, referencing their participation in the 2007 elections following the tragic assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Regarding recent concerns raised in PPP's Central Executive Committee (CEC) meetings about the need for a fair electoral environment, Bilawal revealed that former President Asif Ali Zardari had been tasked with addressing this issue. He added that if progress was not achieved, he would encourage Asif Zardari to take decisive action.
