ASF foils attempt to smuggle ice heroin to Jeddah
The passenger had soaked three Ihram towels with ice solution.
Islamabad: The Airports Security Force (ASF) foiled an attempt to smuggle ice heroin to Jeddah by arresting a passenger going for Umrah while conducting an operation at Islamabad Airport.
According to the ASF spokesman, Muhammad Imran, a passenger who was going to Jeddah via Istanbul to perform Umrah, had soaked three Ihram towels with ice solution.
The spokesman said ASF personnel recovered 5.448 kg of liquid ice heroin during the search of the passenger's luggage using their professionalism.
ASF spokesperson added that accused has been handed over to the ANF authorities for further legal action after initial investigation.
