Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday announced all accredited journalists in the province to be included in the list of frontline warriors in the fight against COVID-19.

Punjab government has decided to vaccinate journalists across the province after Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The journalists will now be eligible for all benefits, including priority vaccination against coronavirus
Following all recommendations regarding Covid-19 outbreak CM Usman Buzdar has said that journalists in the province would be vaccinated against the virus on a priority basis after the Eid holidays.
Buzdar has also directed the health department to chalk out a strategy so that all journalists in Punjab could be administered the coronavirus vaccine.
In this regard, he has also given instructions for setting up special centers at press clubs.
Meanwhile, in Punjab the number of patients swelled to 319,365 with 9,058 causalities.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), in Pakistan around 3,084 cases of coronavirus were reported while 113 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,993.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 861,473.
