Gold rate issuance remains suspended amid crackdown

Karachi: The Sarafa Bazaar Association has not released the gold rates since the crackdown on gold speculators on Monday.
The gold prices were last released on September 12.

As per the information provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the cost of 24-carat gold experienced an increase of Rs5,600 per tola, reaching a value of Rs2,15,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat pure gold increased by Rs5,058 and traded at Rs1,84,585 per 10 grams.
Earlier, Sindh Sarafa Bazaar Association (SSBA) on Friday postponed the announcement of the gold prices in Pakistan once again until Sept 25.
According to sources, the gold market remained shut for five days as law enforcement agencies probed into the matter.
In addition, the gold prices remain postponed in Pakistan till Monday.
Gold rates remained unchanged in Pakistan after touching a record high in previous days.
