Envoy expresses desire to promote Pak-Azerbaijan economic cooperation
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov says that after direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, we want to connect both the countries through Railway and Road.
Islamabad: Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov called on Caretaker Minister for Railways and Maritime Affairs Shahid Ashraf Tarar in Islamabad on Monday.
The Ambassador said that after direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, we want to connect both the countries through Railway and Road.
He said our focus is on promoting economic cooperation.
He said private sector should be invited to participate in the promotion of trade between the two countries.
Khazar Farhadov said Pakistani trade market can be accessed to Europe and Russia through Azerbaijan.
They discussed issues pertaining to the mutual interest of both the countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Railways said that instructions have been given to Chairman Railways to connect the Railway route with Azerbaijan.
He said Transit trade agreement between Pakistan and Azerbaijan should be finalized at the earliest.
