Pakistan to open walk-in vaccination for people aged 40 and above from May 12
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has announced that the walk-in vaccination facility for people above 40-years-old will be opened from May 12 (tomorrow) onwards.
Taking to twitter, the Head of National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) wrote,
"Starting tomorrow the 12th of May all 40 plus who have registered will be able to walk into any vaccination centre of their choice and get vaccinated," the minister wrote on Twitter.
He further wrote that the vaccination centers are opened for this week and will only be closed for two days of Eidul-Fitr.

Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
Pakistan’s registered death toll from coronavirus infections rose towards 19,100, but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained after a one-week national lockdown.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,084 cases of coronavirus were reported while 113 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 19,106.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 864,557.
