New Dehli: Parineeti Chopra's wedding to Raghav Chadha took on an enchanting aura, but it didn't escape the scrutiny of fashion enthusiasts.

Soon after the ceremony, observant netizens couldn't help but point out the striking resemblance between Parineeti's bridal attire and that of her industry peer, Alia Bhatt, who had recently tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor.

For her special day, Parineeti chose a cream-white ensemble crafted by the renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra, which bore a striking similarity to Alia's wedding attire.

On social media platforms like Twitter, users began sharing pictures of both actresses on their wedding days, with some accusing Parineeti of imitating Alia's style choices.

There were even claims that the newlywed couple mimicked Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's poses from their wedding photoshoots.

Some eagle-eyed individuals also noted that Parineeti wore garlands similar to those seen on Alia during her wedding.

A few netizens suggested that Parineeti may have drawn inspiration from Alia's dress and opted for wedding jewelry reminiscent of Kiara Advani, who had married her co-star Sidharth Malhotra in February 2023.

Criticism was also directed at Parineeti for her pastel-themed wedding outfit and the relatively understated nature of her wedding ceremony. Many urged celebrities to stick to the timeless tradition of red wedding attire.

One user criticized the trend of Bollywood weddings seemingly adopting elements from Christian ceremonies, noting that Christian brides like Katrina Kaif still opt for red wedding attire, while Hindu actresses like Alia and Parineeti choose white gowns.

Another Twitter user lamented the homogeneity in the appearance of Bollywood actresses ever since the pastel trend became popular.
