Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir calls for synergizing efforts for peace and prosperity of the country.


Peshawar: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday reiterated Pakistan Army's unflinching resolve to continue its role in ensuring peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for providing a secure environment for economic development.
He was speaking during Provincial Apex Committee in Peshawar on Wednesday.
The army Chief called for synergizing efforts for peace and prosperity of the country.
During the meeting, he was briefed about overall security situation including nitiatives against smuggling, hoarding and drug trafficking.
The participants of the meeting affirmed that state institutions and people are united for the protection of life and property of citizens.
The participants paid rich tribute to the Shuhada and their families.
Meanwhile, addressing the participants of the women symposium, the Army Chief said women have played a positive and important role in progress of the country throughout its history.
