The foreign media stated, an eyewitness said that the explosion occurred on Friday afternoon on the road leading to the Parliament and the President's office, a shop frequented by soldiers.
According to foreign media, al-Shabaab, a group linked to al-Qaeda, has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Media reports told that earlier on Thursday a car bomb also exploded in Mogadishu killing five people and injuring 13.
