FBR has also informed the IMF about the action plan against the tax evaders, reportedly.


Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expressed satisfaction over the performance of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to Ministry of Finance, an online meeting was held between IMF and FBR in which Pakistan informed the IMF that the caretaker government will not impose any new tax.
Media reported stated quoting FBR sources, it said that FBR will achieve the tax target without imposing any new tax and IMF is satisfied with the performance of FBR.
It is also reported that IMF will be briefed on economic performance in the first week of October, with July-September revenue data to be submitted to the IMF next week.
FBR has collected more than the target revenue in the first three months of this financial year with a collection of Rs2.1 trillion tax, while the target of tax collections in three months was Rs1.98 trillion.
FBR has also informed the IMF about the action plan against the tax evaders, reportedly.
