Father of 'Capt Kashif' from 'Alpha Bravo Charlie' passes away

Lahore: Abdullah Mehmood, the actor who portrayed the beloved character "Captain Kashif Kirmani" in the iconic Pakistani drama "Alpha Bravo Charlie," has sadly lost his father.

Known for its portrayal of the sacrifices and lives of Pakistani soldiers, this drama holds a special place in the hearts of viewers even after 25 years.

Abdullah Mehmood, who brought "Captain Kashif Kirmani" to life on screen, was not just an actor but a real-life soldier as well.

His role, along with others in the drama, showcased the enduring friendship and sacrifices made by three young men in service to their country.

"Alpha Bravo Charlie," which first aired in 1998, remains a cherished piece of Pakistani television history, and its characters continue to resonate with audiences today.

In addition to Abdullah Mehmood's portrayal of Captain Kashif, the drama featured retired Colonel Syed Qasim Shah as "Gul Sher" and Faraz Inam as "Captain Faraz," further adding to the show's popularity.

Retired Colonel Syed Qasim Shah recently shared the somber news of the passing of Captain Retired Abdullah Mehmood's father on social media.

In his message, he expressed his deepest condolences to Abdullah and his family.

The drama, at one point, depicted the character Kashif Kirmani losing his legs in the Siachen battle, a storyline that deeply affected fans.

There were even rumors that Retired Captain Abdullah Mehmood had actually suffered such an injury, though these rumors were later debunked.

In his personal life, Abdullah Mehmood faced various challenges and eventually distanced himself from the showbiz industry, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances in "Alpha Bravo Charlie" that continue to be cherished by viewers across Pakistan.
