The RDA has appealed to the public to avoid investing in illegal housing societies.


Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has conducted an operation against illegal housing societies.
According to Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), during the operation against illegal housing societies, the constructions and bunkers of illegal housing societies on Chakri Road have been demolished.
The RDA officials told that the operation was conducted after receiving complaints of land encroachment against illegal housing societies.
The RDA has appealed to the public to avoid investing in illegal housing societies.
Notices have also been issued by Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to owners and sponsors of housing schemes.
345 cases against illegal housing schemes
On the other hand, Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta said that 345 cases have been registered against illegal housing schemes.
Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta added that cases have been registered against 270 people for possession of illegal weapons while 274 people have been arrested for possession of illegal weapons in housing societies.
