Beijing: Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has arrived in the Chinese capital, Beijing, to participate in the 3rd Trans-Himalayan Forum for International Cooperation.
He was extended a special invitation by the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, to attend the prestigious event.
The Trans-Himalayan Forum, initiated in 2018, aims to foster stronger practical collaboration among the nations in the region.
This cooperation covers a wide array of critical topics, including enhancing geographical connectivity, preserving the environment, and strengthening cultural bonds.
The last session of the forum took place in 2019, and this year's theme, 'Ecological Civilization and Environmental Conservation,' underscores the pressing need for environmental protection and sustainable practices in the Himalayan region.
Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani's participation in the forum signifies Pakistan's commitment to regional cooperation and environmental conservation.
This engagement also provides an opportunity to discuss and explore joint efforts for a more sustainable and interconnected Himalayan region.
