Kopyansk: Russia launched a missile attack on a village in northern Ukraine, resulting in the loss of 51 lives, including a 6-year-old child.
According to reports from an American news agency, the Ukrainian Minister of Interior confirmed that Russia executed the attack on a village near the city of Kopyansk, targeting a cafe and a shop.
The devastating strike has left the community reeling from the destruction and loss.
Furthermore, the Interior Minister disclosed that amidst the wreckage, the remains of a 6-year-old child and other victims have been recovered.
Out of the total number of casualties, 29 bodies have been successfully identified, shedding light on the scale of the tragedy.
This incident marks the second major attack resulting in significant casualties in recent times.
Previously, in early 2022, a Russian attack on a railway station in the city of Kramatorsk claimed the lives of 60 people, further underscoring the dire situation in the region.
The recent missile strike by Russia in Ukraine has drawn strong condemnation from Western leaders, sparking outrage and calls for action.
The United Nations has also weighed in, issuing a warning that the attack may constitute a war crime, further emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for international intervention and resolution.
