Only bill payers will get electricity in Islamabad: IESCO
IESCO spokesperson said that institution is following a zero tolerance policy against non-paying customers,
Islamabad: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced to provide electricity only to bill paying citizens.
According to the IESCO spokesperson, the institution is following a zero tolerance policy against non-paying customers, that is why action against running and dead defaulters has been accelerated.
Spokesman IESCO stated that yesterday (Thursday), Rs4.523 million was recovered from 222 electricity defaulters. Dues of Rs162.4 million were collected from 15,083 running defaulters while more than 173.5 million rupees was recovered from 6,958 dead defaulters.
According to the spokesperson, a total of Rs335.9 million dues have been collected from 21,671 defaulters.
