Faisalabad: The police of Faislabad Monday arrested a bridegroom who married a 10-year-old girl in Faisalabad.
According to the police, a case has been registered against the bridegroom who married a minor girl in Satyana area of Faisalabad, after which police took action and arrested the bridegroom.
It has been stated in the First Information Report (FIR) that the accused named Islamil Jatoi had married a 10-year-old girl who is enrolled in grade five, two weeks ago.
The police stated that after the arrest of the groom, raids are being conducted in search of the bride. While action is being taken to arrest the marriage registrar, witnesses and father of the bride.
