Gaza: Russia has taken a proactive stance in an effort to halt the ongoing violence in Gaza, submitting a draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council addressing the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

This draft resolution was formally presented by Russia during a private session within the 15-member UN Security Council.

The content of the resolution explicitly calls for a humanitarian ceasefire, denouncing violence against civilians and all forms of terrorism.

In addition to calling for a cessation of hostilities, the one-page draft resolution emphasizes the critical need for the release of hostages and underscores the urgency of providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict.

The safe evacuation of civilians from affected areas is also a top priority, according to the draft.

Recent developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, such as Israel's ultimatum for Palestinians to evacuate Gaza within 24 hours, have sparked international concern.

The United Nations has expressed opposition to this forced evacuation plan, citing the potential for a severe humanitarian crisis if millions of people are displaced in such a short timeframe.

Saudi Arabia has similarly voiced its opposition to the forced evacuation of Palestinians from Gaza and condemned Israel's targeting of civilian populations.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan conveyed this stance in conversations with his British counterpart and a high-ranking European Union official.

He emphasized the importance of Israel adhering to international laws and human rights, ending the blockade of Gaza, and allowing the unhindered delivery of aid to those in need.
