Fuel shortage: PIA schedule disrupted, 19 flights cancelled
PK221 and PK222 of Multan-Dubai route, flight PK263 from Lahore to Abu Dhabi were also cancelled.
Islamabad: Due to non-supply of fuel and administrative problems, the schedule of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) was disrupted.
According to details, 19 domestic and international flights of the national airline have been canceled while more than 20 flights have been delayed.
PIA flights PK307 and PK309 from Lahore to Islamabad for Karachi could not depart, while daytime flights PK368 and PK369 from Karachi to Islamabad have been cancelled.
Karachi to Dubai flights PK213 and PK214, Karachi to Lahore flight PK206, Sialkot to Dubai flight PK179 and Islamabad to Dubai flights PK211 and PK212 were cancelled.
Flight PK 262 from Abu Dhabi to Islamabad, PK605 and PK606 from Islamabad to Skardu, PK601 and PK602 from Islamabad to Gilgit, Flight PK217 from Peshawar to Abu Dhabi have been cancelled.
PK221 and PK222 of Multan-Dubai route, flight PK263 from Lahore to Abu Dhabi were also cancelled.
Apart from this, a delay of 6:20 hours was announced in the departure of the flight from Karachi to Turbat. Flight PK501 will depart for Turbat at 1:20 PM according to the new schedule.
Flight PK300 from Karachi to Islamabad has been delayed by two and a half hours, while the flight from Karachi to Lahore has been delayed by 4.5 hours and according to new schedule flight PK302 will fly to Lahore from Karachi at 12:30pm.
The departure of PK859 from Lahore to Jeddah was delayed by two hours and the departure of PK303 from Lahore to Karachi was delayed by 4.5 hours, while the departure of PK705 from Islamabad to Istanbul was delayed by 4.5 hours. The departure of Islamabad to Istanbul flight number PK705 is expected to be delayed by 3:40 hours.
Flight PK283 from Peshawar to Dubai has been delayed by more than 10 hours and flight PK257 from Peshawar to Sharjah has been delayed by eight hours.
Departure of PK325 from Islamabad to Quetta is delayed by nine hours and now will depart at 6:00pm.
Flight PK301 from Islamabad to Karachi has been delayed by two and a half hours, Flight PK727 from Peshawar to Riyadh has been delayed by five hours, and Flight PK223 from Faisalabad to Dubai has been delayed by 15 hours.
PK 223 scheduled for last night at 2:00am will now reach Dubai at 4:45 PM. Flight PK765 from Multan to Riyadh delayed by nine hours, flight PK 715 from Multan to Madinah and flight PK 739 from Multan to have been delayed by three hours each.
Departure of flights from Sialkot to Jeddah and Sharjah is expected to be delayed by more than nine hours.
