Karachi: The famous TikTok sensation known as Dolly, whose real name is Nosheen Syed, has been exposed as a tax defaulter with a staggering outstanding tax amount of 1 crore 60 lakhs.
The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has taken swift action, freezing her bank account due to her failure to settle the hefty tax debt.
Dolly, who has garnered immense fame and popularity on TikTok, has now found herself entangled in a legal battle with the authorities over her tax arrears.
The PRA, acting on behalf of the government, has seized her account and successfully collected Rs 44 lakh as an initial step towards recovering the overdue tax amount.
The PRA has made it clear that they will not stop at freezing her bank account.
Further actions, including potential property seizures and the freezing of other accounts, are on the horizon to ensure the recovery of the remaining tax debt.
The authority is leaving no stone unturned to enforce tax compliance.
It has come to light that Dolly had been served multiple notices to settle her tax liability, but she repeatedly failed to adhere to the payment schedule.
Her account's freezing was a result of her consistent non-payment.
Despite this startling revelation, Dolly, known for her creative and entertaining TikTok content, has remained silent on the matter.
