Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore Thursday approved the seven-day physical remand of former police inspector Abid Boxer.
According to details, ATC judge Abhar Gul Khan has sought a report from the investigating officer on the next hearing and has ordered Abid Boxer to appear again on October 26.
Police requested the physical remand of the accused for 30 days for investigation. However, the court rejected the request of the police and accepted the physical remand of accused Abid Boxer for seven days.
Abid Boxer was arraigned in the case of snatching a rifle from a policeman and allegedly escaping from police custody.
The former Police officer has been arrested by the CIA Civil Lines team from Kasur last night.
A case has been registered against Abid Boxer in the Faisal Town police station, while cases have also been registered against the accused in two other police stations in Lahore.
