Cyclone Tej, previously located in the southwestern Arabian Sea, has intensified and evolved into a severe cyclone.


Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that Cyclone Tej, previously looming over the southwest of the Arabian Sea, has intensified into a severe cyclone.
As of the latest data, Cyclone Tej is currently positioned approximately 1600 kilometers to the southwest of Gwadar and 1850 kilometers southwest of Karachi.
The Meteorological Department further reports that the cyclone is on a trajectory heading towards the coasts of Oman and Yemen, with no immediate threat to the coastal regions of Pakistan.
The storm's current location is approximately 175 kilometers south of the Yemeni city of Al-Ghaiza, and it is expected to make landfall along the Yemeni coast later tonight.
