Punjab's CM approves construction of Lahore cancer hospital

Lahore: The caretaker government of Punjab has given the green light for the establishment of a cancer hospital in Lahore.
Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, announced the approval of this critical healthcare infrastructure project during a recent visit to Manawan Hospital.
During his visit to Manawan Hospital, Naqvi inspected the proposed land and building earmarked for the construction of the cancer hospital, emphasizing the importance of this development.
A meeting was convened at Manawan Hospital, presided over by the caretaker chief minister.
During this meeting, he tasked the hospital administration with transforming Manawan Hospital into a specialized cancer treatment center.
Addressing the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the current dearth of modern government cancer hospitals within the province, which is home to approximately 140 million people.
He emphasized the urgency of the situation and instructed the concerned authorities to expedite the design process for the cancer hospital.
Naqvi also urged for swift decision-making on other logistical aspects, including the procurement of machinery and equipment for the hospital.
