Hardik Pandya could not even play the match against New Zealand on Sunday due to injury.

Chennai: Another bad news has been reported regarding Hardik Pandya—the all-rounder of Team India who has been unbeaten so far in International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023.
According to details, the news about Hardik Pandya came out that he suffered an injury in the match against Bangladesh few days back after which he has not been fully fit yet. Therefore the all-rounder’s participation in the match against England was also said to be doubtful.
Now the Indian media has reported that Hardik is also facing a minor injury due to which the Indian all-rounder will not be able to participate in the England match and three more matches of the World Cup.
According to the Indian media, the medical team cannot allow him to participate in the game until he fully recovers from the injury. The medical team is hopeful of sending Hardik on the pitch soon.
On the other hand, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated that the team management is ready to wait for Hardik for the important matches of the World Cup instead of bringing in a replacement for him.
It is pertinent to note that Hardik Pandya could not even play the match against New Zealand on Sunday due to injury, while the match between India and England is scheduled on October 29 in Lucknow.
India have topped the points table after winning five matches in the World Cup so far.
