The court also rejected the petition of the chairman PTI in expulsion case.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday rejected the bail appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the cypher case.
According to details, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq pronounced the verdict to reject the bail petition of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The court also rejected the petition of the chairman PTI in expulsion case.
Earlier, the Special Official Secrets Act Court hearing the cypher case had rejected Khan’s bail plea, against which the PTI chief had approached the IHC.
It is important to note that earlier on yesterday (Thursday), the IHC rejected Imran Khan's request to stop the trial of cypher case and dealt with the request against indictment with instructions that the he should be given the right to a transparent trial.
