Hospitals had to be evacuated, with patients relocated to safer locations.
Tragically, the overflowing rivers have swept away numerous individuals, and four people are still reported as missing.
The death toll has risen to at least 27 as a result of various incidents stemming from the hurricane's wrath.
Mexico's President expressed the urgency of the situation, highlighting that Hurricane Otis rapidly formed within hours and is classified as the fifth most perilous storm to hit Acapulco.
