Karachi: The US dollar strengthened against the Pakistani rupee during Friday's morning interbank trading.
In interbank trade on the closing day of the current week, the US dollar increased in value by 41 paisa to 280.50.

The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in the Middle East caused the yellow metal to soar on the worldwide market, which in turn caused a considerable spike in gold prices in Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the per tola gold price reached Rs211,350, marking a substantial rise of Rs2,900.
