New duty roster of LHC judges released
Lahore High Court's new rostrum of judges will be implemented from October 30 to December 23.
Lahore: The new duty roster of judges of Lahore High Court (LHC) has been released.
After the approval of Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, the additional registrar issued the duty roster, according to which, the new judges will hear 12 division bench and 25 single bench cases.
A two-member bench consisting of Chief Justice LHC Muhammad Ameer Bhatti and Justice Abid Hussain Chatta will hear all types of cases.
While, a two-member bench consisting of Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmad Khan and Justice Farooq Haider will hear other cases including appeals against the death penalty.
According to the duty roster, a bench consisting of Justice Shujaat Ali Khan and Justice Sultan Tanveer will hear civil appeals and other cases.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi will hear NAB appeal cases. Whereas, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan and Justice Risal Hassan Syed will hear the civil appeals.
A bench consisting of Justice Alia Neelum and Justice Waheed will hear other cases including anti-terrorism cases. A bench comprising Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Faisal Zaman Khan will hear other cases including banking. Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza and Justice Anwar Hussain will hear tax appeals and other cases.
According to the duty roster, a bench comprising Justice Shahbaz Rizvi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh will hear appeals against the death penalty. A two-member bench consisting Justice Masood Abid Naqvi and Justice Chaudhry Iqbal will hear civil appeal cases. Justice Shahid Karim and Justice Asim Hafeez will hear civil appeals and commercial cases.
A bench consisting of Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry and Justice Ali Zia Bajwa will hear drug appeals and other cases. Another bench headed by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry will hear terrorism cases appeals.
