Hamas reacts to Israeli overnight bombardment on Gaza

Gaza: Hamas has reacted to the Israeli ground attack and bombardment on Gaza overnight.

Hamas said that Israeli army's three-pronged ground attack on Gaza has failed and the enemy has suffered heavy losses in terms of soldiers and equipment.

It has been stated by Hamas that Israel fell into a trap set by the Palestinian resistance on several fronts, using Russian-made anti-tank missiles to repel Israeli attacks.

Hamas added that it also used locally-made Yasin missiles to repulse the Israeli attack, and the Israeli army evacuated the wounded and bodies from helicopters.

It is pertinent to note that 1,405 Israelis have been killed and 5,431 sustained the injuries in the Gaza-Israeli war that started on October 07.

According to the Israeli army, 308 Israeli soldiers and 58 police officers are among the dead, while 229 Israelis are being held hostage by Hamas.
