Court issues notice to jail superintendent for not letting Imran talk to sons
In the petition, it was requested that contempt of court proceedings be initiated against the Superintendent of Adiala Jail.
Islamabad: The Special Official Secrets Act Court Monday issued a notice to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail for not allowing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to talk to his sons.
According to details, Chairman PTI's lawyer Shiraz Ranjha filed a contempt petition in the Special Court of Official Secrets Act for not letting former Prime Minister Imran Khan to talk to his sons over phone.
The petition stated that despite the court orders, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail did not allow Imran to have a telephonic conversation with his sons who live abroad.
In the petition, it was requested that contempt of court proceedings be initiated against the Superintendent of Adiala Jail for not following the court orders and the jail authorities be ordered to implement the order to let Khan talk to his sons.
Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain of Special Court of Official Secrets Act heard the appeal of PTI Chairman and issued a notice to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail seeking reply by November 08.
