PML-N extends deadline for candidates to submit applications for upcoming elections
The decision to extend the deadline was prompted by various factors, including prevalent smog conditions, a partial lockdown, and scheduled bank holidays.
Lahore- In anticipation of the forthcoming general elections, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday announced an extension of the deadline for prospective candidates to submit their applications for party tickets.
In a statement, the party’s spokesperson said that the aspiring candidates now have until November 20 to formally submit their applications, providing them with additional time to participate in the party's candidate selection process.
The decision to extend the deadline was prompted by various factors, including prevalent smog conditions, a partial lockdown, and scheduled bank holidays.
The interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications at the party's secretariat located in the Model Town. The spokesperson outlined that application fees could be remitted through the bank drafts, online transfers, or bank deposits, facilitating a streamlined and efficient process.
The spokesperson emphasized that the party strictly prohibited any form of cash transactions in the application submission process. To deter any potential misconduct, stringent actions would be taken against both those offering and those accepting the cash transactions in violation of party guidelines, he added.
