Markets to be reopened tomorrow as Punjab govt lifts lockdown
Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has made the decision after consulting the environmental experts.
Lahore: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, through an official announcement on Twitter, declared the conclusion of the smart lockdown, citing notable advancements in air quality and a significant reduction in atmospheric pollution.
The decision was reached following consultations with environmental experts and the Department of Environment.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi affirmed that owing to the enhanced air quality, markets will continue to operate on the upcoming day (November 11), and restaurants will resume services from 6:00 PM onward. Restrictions imposed due to smog will be officially lifted starting tomorrow morning.

Earlier, the provincial government had announced the mini-lockdown amid smog conditions in the provincial capital and the surrounding districts. The markets, offices and the educational institutions were shut down due to smog.
